| Well,
look at what we have here. This looks awfully
familiar, does it not? In fact, I could've sworn
I've seen this before...
Because I
have. Welcome to Version 8: The Reawakening! In
fact, this layout is a remake of our Version 2
layout! I think it's a pretty accurate
restoration of it, though it did have to be
changed a bit since Smrpg Legacy has also
changed in that time period
So, for
those who are long time visitors, you already
know a lot of about this layout. For those who
don't, there's some new stuff! Affiliates, like
on V2, get their buttons shown at the bottom of
each page while getting their links on the nav
bar. Also, there's a music player on the bottom
left of the nav bar! V2 had it playing
automatically, but that got highly annoying at
certain points, so the decision is up to you!
The font
is the Trebuchet MS, just like on the homepage
of V2. The URLs of each page are now
significantly longer so that search engines pick
them up better - I cannot change the page title
of each page because the system used overwrites
it.
The Culex
background is slightly a bit lighter. And, rumor
has it, if you look closely in the content area,
you'll see a diminished image of the Super Mario
RPG World Map, just like in Version 2...
But the
layout is not the major news. Well, it is, kind
of, but I don't consider it to be. The actual
part is that I actually plan to start working on
the site again. Let's be honest: From the end of
Version 6 all the way through Version 7, I ran
this site into the ground. The site deserves
better that what I gave it.
I actually
have about 8 new Super Mario RPG sections I
could make, and I plan on doing some Super Paper
Mario stuff. I will be taking a slight break
after re-doing the site because school is over
in 2 weeks and I have finals, but afterwards, I
am really hoping to get some work done. The
Affiliation page has been redone, and I plan on
going through the Links and Affiliates page and
doing them in a manner similar to that of V2
V2 was
always a bit special to me. It was the first
"layout" I actually made (minus the banner), so
it was quite important. Re-doing it has gotten
me excited to cover the Mario RPGs again.
Actually, I was originally planning to remake
Version 3, because that was our most popular,
but V2's calling was just too great to ignore!
So, grab a
hot slice and take a big bite (now, how the heck
did I get a line from a WarioWare song in
this update?) and enjoy the new-but-not-so-new
look of Super Mario RPG Legacy. It's time to
Reawaken to what we once were. Welcome to
Version 8 of Super Mario RPG Legacy |
