Hello,
I was just wondering if there is any news on the
Super Mario RPG remake subject - I've sent 100's of emails and I guess that
here is another one.
Well, there's a ton of fan support, including a
petition reaching over 16,000 signatures. There's a few websites that are
still alive today about the game - 8 years after it was released
I realize the time/money/effort and all the legal
issues with Square - but don't all games take that? If so, why couldn't it be
directed at a remake? Especially since there are a variety of Mario titles
available that are remakes of older games. PM:TTYD sold well and it's a Mario
RPG - it might spur on some fans to play the original. There are many
arguments to support this remake.
I dunno what else to say - like I said before,
I've sent 100's of emails. I just really think it would be a great edition to
the Mario remakes and would probably get some popularity with the high success
rate of PM:TTYD.
I hope that this emailed has meant something to
Nintendo and the cause

Hi there!
Since both Nintendo and Squaresoft worked together to create Super Mario RPG:
Legend of the Seven Stars, I'm not sure who has the rights to this game. Seeing
how this is one of the most requested games to bring back to life, I'm surprised
that it hasn't be created for one of our current systems.
In any case, if any news breaks about Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven
Stars for any of our systems, it'll be featured on our web site and in Nintendo
Power magazine. Hopefully we haven't seen the last of Mallow, Geno, and the
rest of the gang, so stay tuned for all the latest Nintendo news!
