Walkthrough
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Under Construction

Prelude/Mario’s House

- At the beginning of the game, there will be a cut-scene on Peach’s Castle. An ambassador from the Beanbean Kingdom has come to make stronger ties with the Mushroom Kingdom. You will see that the ambassador will transform, into Cackletta, and shoot a gas out at Peach. After the cut-scene, you will be able to control toad in Mario’s house. You can explore all you want, but to continue you will need to find Mario. He is in the shower. To get to him, go along the lower left of the house. Once you find him, he will rush out of the house and drag Luigi with him. You should now be in the castle. Soon Bowser will come and you will fight him.

Area Boss – Bowser

Area Boss – Bowser
Recommended Level: 1

Minimum Level: 1

He isn’t hard. He isn’t meant to be hard. Actually, it’s virtually impossible to lose! Just attack him, that’s it! Though, it is a good time to practice timed hits and dodging – the Toad will tell you how. Just attack and you’ll win.

- After you defeat Bowser (which you should have), he will tell you he was coming to capture Peach. Toad will tell you the evil ambassador has replaced Peach’s voice with explosives. Bowser will tell you to do something super, which you can’t. He’ll then tell you to meet him at his Koopa Cruiser, so they can hitch a ride to the Beanbean Kingdom. You’ll then be in the Town Square. In here, just look around for items and such. To actually pass through it, just head straight. You’ll notice a guy standing there that’s a bit different. He belongs in the Koopa Cruiser as one of Bowser’s troops. Talk to him and he will ask where he needs to go. Point up, which is where you also need to go. Keep going straight to the next area. You will see a floating book thing. That is a Save Album. Save you game and proceed. A Toad will stop you a little into the area. He will give you coins and a suitcase to store all your belongings. Head straight till you reach the Koopa Cruiser. You will be talking to Bowser, and he will summon his Bowser Baddies. He thinks Luigi is signing up to be one, though he claims he isn’t. The Bowser Baddies will push him forward, but Luigi won’t board the cruiser. You will see him running, and the cruiser use a big hand to grab him. You will now be inside the cruiser.

Koopa Cruiser

- Now you’re in the Koopa Cruiser and Bowser will be talking to you over a P.A. type system. He will tell you how to open your suitcase and stuff, concluding with the fact you need to reach the deck. From here, save your game and proceed to the right. In the next room, go up and then right until you reach boxes with arrows on them. Talk to the guys and they will briefly tell you about them. After getting the boxes, proceed downwards and to the right. Now, head straight and a guy will stop you, telling you to open your suitcase. Open it, and he’ll tell you about your passports. 1 problem: no pictures. He will tell you he will let you cut in line to take some pictures for your passports. Move onto the little thing he tells you to and he will say that he is about to take your picture. He says stand still, but you don’t have to. If you do move, Mario will just make a pose that will be in your picture. Same goes with Luigi. After the picture has been taking, press start to switch guys. He will now take Luigi’s picture. You now have your pictures on your passport, and can proceed. While going through, get all the treasure boxes. Then go up the stairs at the right. Now, go to the right till you reach a dead end. You will see a barrel on its side. Just walk into it and it will move. Go through and a guy will soon stop saying that you need to be careful with Bowser’s cargo. He will offer to teach you how to fight. Actually fight the battle by breaking the wiggly barrel. He will teach you about dodging and counter attacking. After the level, proceed downwards and to the left. Break the barrel and beat the Goomba’s inside. Proceed and you will see a guy trying to catch 2 Goomba’s. You will have to fight both to catch them. Go in the next area and head upwards. Save your game and go to the left. You will see a bow\x with an “!” on it. Hit it and a crane will tae you to the deck. Luigi will go all crazy like and you will see Cackletta, the “ambassador” who replaced Peach’s voice with explosives. He will let Fawful, his sidekick, fight you.

Area Boss – Fawful

Recommended Level: 2

Minimum Level: 2

This guy isn’t too tough. Attack him and dodge his attacks – he will shoot out little energy balls that can be dodges like Bowser’s flames. After both Mario & Luigi attack twice, Bowser will tell you how to dodge this guy’s attacks. He will soon do attacks that are on both bros., so watch out for that. Soon his little floating thing will break and he will fall on the cruiser deck. He will now roll into you as his attack. From here on out, just attack him and jump to dodge his roll attacks. It’s a piece of cake from here.

Now Fawful will shoot his little energy balls and crash your ship. Now your in Beanbean Borderland.

Beanbean Borderland

- After you see the little cut-scene where you are falling from the sky, Luigi will pull out Mario from the ground. Now, go to the left. You can talk to Bowser’s troops if you want, but there isn’t any need. You will see a bridge, which you need to go across. From there, you need to enter the tower. Now your in a room with Hammer Bros. but, they’re not your enemy! They talk about how you’re going to the Beanbean Kingdom. They will ask you to do the Border Jump, which you have to. Ask them to explain it and you will be in a demo. Now, select Yes to do the border jump. Complete the border jump, though it could take a few tries. You can now proceed to Stardust Fields, the first area in the Beanbean Kingdom.

Stardust Fields

- When exiting the tower, continue to the left across the bridge. The Hammer Bros. will stop you and tell you that you are the first people to ever cross the border. They will give you a Beanbean Map, which is a map of the Beanbean Kingdom. Go a little left and you will notice a green pipe. Enter it, though it isn’t the way to complete the level. The pipes will be used for easy travel; You will want these later on. Enter the pipe and then press A to exit. Then, go downwards to the next area. Now, go a little down and you will see some spike that glow. Read the sign for how to avoid them, it’s basically pressing A and B at the right time to make both bros. jump over. Continue to the right and get the ? box for a mushroom, Then go down and to the left and then get the other ? box for another mushroom. Then go across the bridge to the right and go down to reach the next area. Go downwards in the next area until you reach a dead end. Go across the bridge to the left to reach the next area. Now, you will see a save point. Save your game and jump up towards the star thing on the ground. You will see Bowser in a cannon. Walk up to him and a green guy will come on the other side of Bowser. He is Tolstar, and his will only let Bowser go if he is paid all your coins. However, these are Mushroom Kingdom coins, and you won’t have nearly enough. You will need 100 coins. Either find coins in boxes or fight enemies to get them. Now, go down and to the right to go to the next area. Then, go up in the next area to reach another area. From here, go right and then up. There are some boxes you can get, so get them. After you have, go to the upper right part and procced to the next area. Now, go down the cliff and get the boxes in this area. Go down to the farthest point you can and then to the right. Now, go up the little stair like things, but make sure you don’t fall of them to the right. Instead, you want to go up. Go up until you reach the yellow block things. Read the sign to find out how to use them. Then go left and get the box. Head back right and go back to the stairs. You’ll see an exit to the right leading to another area. Go in there to reach it. Now, you will see an area with a bunch of bags that can be used as stairs. Go up them and you will see a star in the ground. Approach it and the Starshade Bros. will teach you the Bros. Action Commands. Press Yes when asked for training, and they will teach you the High Jump and the Spin Jump. After you are done with your training, you will need to reach a flag they set up as your goal. Go to the right and high jump onto the barrels. Do that till you come across a gap. Use the spin jump to go across gaps. Reach their flag and go to the left to get a syrup in the box. Jump off the cliff and go down to the next area. In this area, head down across the bridge. Go down till you reach a save point. Save your game and head right, using the bags as stairs. Use the high jump to get the treasure box and keep going up. There will be some elevated land with 2 boxes on it. High jump, get the boxes, and proceed left. When you reach the gap, spin jump across and there will be a box. Get it and fall down the cliff to the left. Go to the next area from there. Now, you’re going to meet the Starshade Bros. again, and they are going to tell you how to use Bros. Attacks. These are good techniques, so pay attention. You will enter battle and they will teach you about the attacks. Note that they talk about modes and advanced commands. This will seriously be of help later on. Also, you use Bros. Points to execute these techniques. After your all done, go left. Fall down and go as far as you can left. Once you have, high jump onto the raised land. Get the box and go up the stairs right. Go up to the yellow blocks but don’t go on them. Go left instead and you’ll be back at Tolstar. Make sure you have the 100 coins from fighting enemies and getting boxes. Also, make sure your leveled up a bit, ‘cause he isn’t just letting Bowser go…

Area Boss – Tolstar

[No Picture Available]

Recommended Level: 4

Minimum Level: 3

Tolstar is your first real challenge. Try out some Bros. Attacks here, because they are more powerful than regular attacks. If you run out of Bros. Points, use a syrup. You should have a syrup – there were some in the boxes scattered around Stardust Fields. After a couple of those, just attack regularly. He attacks by throwing balls with spikes on them. Some times the bounce high, where you need to stand still to avoid them and not jump. Others are low, where you need to jump – these are at the beginning. Use mushrooms to heal when necessary, and keep attacking. Soon he will die, and Bowser will be free…

After beating Tolstar, the Starshade Bros. will come and light up the cannon. Bowser will shoot out of it and say that you are the only ones who can save her voice. After that, jump down to the left and do a high jump, or do a spin jump across the little gap. In the next area, just follow the bridges until you reach a Save Album. Save your game and go through the entrance way. Now you’re in a cave with so cool music (the theme of the underground in Super Mario Bros.). Jump up the cliffs with the high jump and spin jump across the gap to get a box. Go to the left and get the box. Go down through the entrance way to get to Hoohoo Village

Hoohoo Village

- To start, go down and to the left. You will be stopped by guards that claim you’re the fiends who kidnapped Prince Peasley. Tolstar, of all people, will come and bail you out. They will say sorry and explain about the prince. They will describe Fawful and will reopen the investigation. Now you can proceed by going down and left. Now you can see stairs. Don’t go up them, instead go down and to the left. There will be an entrance to a cave. Go in and get the boxes. Then go a little more left and get the box. Now, head back right to where you came from. Now go up the stairs and continue left. Go through the entrance ay to the next area. Now, go down to the Save Album and save your game. From there, head down and left. Keep going left this entire time, past the house into the next area. You will see Fawful (surprised?). Approach him and he will shoot his energy balls at a guard. He will turn around and talk to you. He will drop a huge stone, which you cannot break. After he is done talking to you, head back to the Save Album and save your game. Now, head left and there will be an entrance to a cave. Go in it and you will be in a cave. This cave isn’t the way to go, but it has a bunch of boxes and stuff, which will be of help. Use the high jump and spin jump to proceed through the cave. When you come out of the cave, you will be outside. Grab the boxes on the bridge and go back into the cave (you can go farther, but will be able to do nothing since you don’t have the power you need yet). Backtrack through the cave till you reach the area with the Save Album again. Save and go to the left past the entrance this time. You will now be in an area with people working on a bridge and a house. Go in the house to meet the Hammerhead Bros. They will try to make a hammer but can’t. You will explain what happened and how you want them to make you a hammer. They will say they need Hoohoo Blocks to make one and will tell you they are on the summit of Hoohoo Mountain. Now, go out of the house and to the right. Save your game and head back to the left. The bridge is now complete. Cross it to head for Hoohoo Mountain.

Hoohoo Mountain

- To start, head left and jump up the cliffs. Keep climbing them until you reach gaps. Spin jump across the gaps and then go to the left to get a syrup in a box. Then, go to the right and to the next area. Climb up the cliffs to you reach a point where there is a tornado. Spin jump into the tornado and go to the right. The tornado will give you a farther spin jump. Land on the little piece of land and go to the next area. Now, climb the stairs and go up. Keep going up until you see a sign. Go to the left of it to go to the next area. In here, go to the left and you will see flowing water. Have Mario in front go up to it. He will drink it and get fatter. Now, go to the right until you see a fire guy. High jump on Mario to spit the water on him. The moose thingy on the wall will spit out a tornado. High jump to it and then spin jump in it. Then go left and there will be a Save Album. Save your game and go a little down. Go across the gap to the left using the spin jump. Climb the cliff from here and into the next area. Now, go right until you see flowing water. Have Mario drink it, and spit it out at the fire guy that is left of the waterspout. Don’t go back to the beginning to get the tornado, instead go back to the waterspout. Have Mario drink more water and go to the right. There will be a fire guy you need to put out. Now, go back to where the first tornado is. Go in it and head right. Do the same in the next area. Hit the ! box and a waterspout will start flowing water in an area you have already been in. Fall off the cliff to the right and go down into the next area. You’re back where the waterspout has started flowing water. Have Mario drink it and put out the flames on the fire guy to the lower right of it. Spin jump into the tornado and head right. You will land in another tornado – go right on that too. You can go into the next area, but don’t yet. Use the high jump to go up the little ridges for 2 boxes. Get them and then go into the next area. Now, immediately save your game since there is a Save Album right there. Go to the right and there will be a statue. Talk to it. He will tell you of a challenge. Try the challenge; it’s the only way to pass. He will tell you what to do. All it is consists of spin jumping from platform to platform while catching 10 spirits. Once you have cleared the challenge, you will have to fight him

Area Boss – Hoohooros

[No Picture Available]

Recommended Level: 5

Minimum Level: 4

Hoohooros will start by hiding behind pillars of raised land. Whichever one he hides under is the one not to attack. Attack the opposite. Once that one breaks, attack the one he is under. He can’t hide now. The pillars shoot laser beams out to attack – they are relatively easy to jump over. Now that he is exposed, attack him. Hoohooros attack is a laser beam too, but it will start near one bro and move towards the other. Timing is the key because you will have to jump with both bros, to fully avoid it. Keep attacking him and heal if and when necessary. He should be down in no time.
