Story Since the beginning of time the 7 Star Spirits of Star Haven have watched over the Mushroom Kingdom. The 7 Star Spirits also granted people of the Mushroom Kingdom's wishes with the Star Rod. The Star Rod granted any wish beside the selfish ones. Frustrated, Bowser flew up to Star Haven. There he stole the Star Rod so he could grant his own wishes. With the Star Rod, Bowser imprisoned all the Star Spirits. Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi received an invitation to a party at Peach's Castle. Mario and Luigi hurried to the castle, but once inside Mario went to talk to Peach. Mario and Peach started talking in the hall when they looked out the window and noticed that the stars were out in the afternoon. Bowser appeared before them and got in a battle with Mario. All was well for Mario until Bowser used his Star Rod. Bowser used it to power himself up, and then quickly defeated Mario. Bowser's final blow hit Mario and he fell through the window. Mario then kept falling and falling and falling...
