Super Paper Mario Release Date / Logo
Posted by Super Mallow on 5.12.06

First up, I'd like to say that the big surprise is coming tomorrow, or about midnight tonight, so be sure to check back soon for it

Anyways, we've got an EXCLUSIVE announcement on Super Paper Mario. Well, at least I've checked around and didn't see this announced - Nintendo has told me this info personally, I do not know if it was just recently released from E3 since I'm posting this right away

Anyways, the release date is Quarter 4 of 2006. This means either October, November, or December.

If you'd like to use that to report the release date as well, feel free to, but please source it from www.smrpglegacy.com. Again, I'm not sure if it's been announced recently, but I've been confirmed by Nintendo

Also, I've gotten artwork of the Logo for Super Paper Mario along with a new screenshot!

Nintendo has announced a new Paper Mario game - Super Paper Mario! Smrpg Legacy brings you screenshots and a video for Super Paper Mario - check 'em out on the Super Paper Mario page!

I would've had this announced yesterday, but my host corrupted me extensions again. This'll cost us compared to what we could've had...I had every yesterday before nearly any other sites had it. But, well, this is what I got for now!

Also, keep checking back...something's going to happen soon, you'll see

Contest Cancelled

Well, I had to cancel the Give-Away Contest, unfortunately. All the details on why can be found by clicking here.

However, I'd like to let everyone know that the site will be going through some massive changes very soon. We've been discussing it at the forums for a few days now.

I think you guys will like them a lot. It's going to completely change the site in most aspects. No one besides myself knows what they are, and you'll have to keep checking back within the next week and a half to see the results!

I went inactive again and didn't update. I've actually been quite busy, seeing as I just re-entered my old hockey league and it's taken up some of my time

Anyways, for the update. The contest submissions are due by May 6th, which is just a week away. If you want to win the games, you got to get the entries submitted!

For those who would still like to enter the contest, details can be found here

Also, a few new pieces of Fan Art have been added

Up & Running
Posted by Super Mallow on 4.13.06

Well, my laptop is fixed and I now can update the site and receive emails. We also got a new affiliate, Zelda Forums. Despite the name, it's an up-and-coming site with all Zelda info

Also, check back often to the site...I plan to do something huge that many fans will like. If it does happen, I'll update as soon as I can...

Slight Problem
Posted by Super Mallow on 4.7.06

If you haven't figured it out yet, the last update was an April Fools Joke. I apologize to those who think it's real, but I only get to do things like this once a year so I decided to do so. I got a few people with it, others figured it out right away

Anyways, my computer is broken right now - it's currently being repaired. I just needed a new screen. It's expected to be done within 10 days, but until then, I cannot check my email. Feel free to still send an email, you just won't get a reply for a while

I also can't update the site right now. Well, I can, but it's very difficult for me to do so. It took a lot to get this update up right now.

Paper Mario 3 Announced!
Posted by Super Mallow on 4.1.06

2 years ago, to the day, Paper Mario 2 was announced. Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have stunned fans once again with the timing of a newly announced game entitled "Paper Mario: Revenge of Shadows." Just by the title, one knows that PM3 will involve the Shadow Queen from Paper Mario 2, which leaves this game to be a true sequel to the best-selling Gamecube hit.

"Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door left many holes in the story of the Shadow Queen," Executive Producer Satoru Iwata said, "We feel that a sequel is our chance to give a background to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Paper Mario: Revenge of Shadows will allow players to gain a better understanding about the Shadow Queen. We hope that this new game will bring the series closer together."

When asked about Luigi's adventures in Paper Mario: TTYD, Iwata responded:

"The sub-story of Luigi in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will play a role in Revenge of Shadows, but the game's main focus is still on Mario and not Luigi. It's just something that players will have to look forward to."

It's anyone's guess what role Luigi will have in this game, but there's no doubt that TTYD clued fans in throughout the game. We can only speculate about it

Smrpg Legacy is proud to be the first to bring you any coverage that is now available. We will continue to watch as things develop and bring you any news that becomes available

(If you would like to use the writing above, please source it to www.smrpglegacy.com - thanks!)

Fan Fiction Updated
Posted by Super Mallow on 3.24.06

Well, my testing is nearly complete and it should be out of my way pretty soon. Anyways, for the update, we've got 5 new sections of fan fiction.

Also, the top sites aren't working apparently, so I'll probably remove those from the nav bar. The poll is now 1-2 months old, so I'll need to get a new one up as well.

More Testing...
Posted by Super Mallow on 3.13.06

I know, I went dead again. I apologize, but I'm doing some standardized testing right now, and it's for a scholarship, so it's a bit important.

I'll try to update when I can. I may have a few things to add soon, but I do not know.

Updating
Posted by Super Mallow on 3.4.06

I went into another one of my no-updating phases. Sorry for that, I just never had time to update recently. Anyways, let's see what we got.

We got a few new fan works, mainly pictures, but a comic as well. We have a new sub-forum at the messageboard. It's for diehard Super Mario RPG fans, it's dedicated to the remake.

I plan to add some new content soon, but we have a state-required test for scholarship money this week and next, and I may not have time. I'll try though

Gamefly
Posted by Super Mallow on 2.19.06

Well, I'm trying something different. We now offer ads by Gamefly.

What is Gamefly? Gamefly is a company in which you can rent video games and they are automatically sent to you. My friend has it, it's pretty cool - I've played a lot of games through him. You can also have a 10 day free-trial to see if you like them. They have great selections for all the major systems - GCN, DS, GBA, etc.

So that's the overview on what the ads offer, there is still 1 Google ad on the nav bar. Gamefly ads are found on the top/bottom They're credible ads, don't worry. Most people generally think ads are just there to be annoying, but they're solid ads.

Fan Works
Posted by Super Mallow on 2.11.06

First up, new affiliate: Final Fantasy Fan. It's one of the elite FF sites on the net, so give them a look over.

Secondly, new fan art submission, along with a fan fiction submission. A new link as well, Order of Angels.

If you want to have your work shown, check out the Fan Works page and Submit Something.

Affiliates
Posted by Super Mallow on 2.7.06

I've gone through a few more affiliates and had some removed, and with so many being dropped, I'm ready to take some more. If you have a site, be sure to look over the Affiliation page - if you don't reach the requirements but are still an excellent site, email me anyways and maybe we can work something out. I'm also taking links, and they have no visit requirements, so it's a great place for small sites to start out

Also, if you draw or make comics or like to write stories, check out the Fan Art page if you want others to see your work and help out the site!

Lastly, the letters to Square-Enix will be sent in less than 2 weeks for a Super Mario RPG Remake on the DS/GBA - read 2 updates below and find out ho to send a letter!

3 Million Views!
Posted by Super Mallow on 1.31.06

I meant to post this about a week ago, but forget. We now have passed 3 million page views, another high mark. We've recovered from the hacking as well - we're almost at our all-time average. I'm guessing a month until we're there.

Also, dropped some more dead affiliates...I actually did that a little while ago, just never updated. So I'm taking some new ones as well, since the list is pretty short compared to how it usually is.

Lastly, be sure to read the update below.

LETTERS TO SQUARE-ENIX! (2)
Posted by Super Mallow on 1.17.06

NOTICE TO ALL MARIO RPG FANS!

I left the last update up for a while, but please read this as well

We need your help. The Super Mario RPG remake has been going on for 3 years, and we're making a big step here. We need people to send letters to Square-Enix about a Super Mario RPG remake on the GBA/DS. That's it - we just need everyone we can get to write a letter. I'm asking everyone who reads this to write one. If we get a lot of letters, your personal letter will be sent to Square. It doesn't have to be long or perfect in any way - we just need letters.

If you are willing to write a letter, please email it to smrpglegacy@comcast.net. We have so many Mario RPG fans, and hopefully we can make a difference to a gaming giant. Please help the site and all Super Mario RPG Fans

Also, I have dropped some more affiliates - Fire Emblem Fusion, Yoshi Lore, and Mario Portal because they either didn't work or haven't updated in a long time. If they restore to their former selves, please email me and I'll add you ASAP

LETTERS TO SQUARE-ENIX!
Posted by Super Mallow on 1.3.06

Please read this update fully. I know it's a bit long, but please do.

Smrpg Legacy is asking for your help. I've been able to grab a hold of Square-Enix's address for their Headquarters in the US. We've been working on a Super Mario RPG remake on the GBA/DS for over 3 years now.

All I ask is that you write a letter to Square-Enix about remaking Super Mario RPG on the GBA/DS. That's all, it would really help. This is our best chance yet, and every letter counts. It doesn't have to be incredibly long either, and it's a simple thing to do. Plus, you get the chance to contact a big game maker.

If you are willing to write one, please, please email it to me. My address is smrpglegacy@comcast.net - Help us and all SMRPG fans out

New Year, But It's Not Over
Posted by Super Mallow on 1.2.06

First off, happy New Year to everyone. I know I'm a bit late, but please read this update completely

I recently got my copy of Final Fantasy 4 for the GBA. While that's completely irrelevant to the site, it reminded me of something.

Remember that Letter to Square-Enix thing I posted a while back? Well, with another Square-Enix game on the market, it strengthens the argument for a Super Mario RPG Remake

I'm asking for everyone in favor of a remake to write a letter trying to persuade Square to remake this game on the Nintendo DS or the Game Boy Advance. I have personally been given the address to Square's American Headquarters, and I am willing to personally send your letter to them.

I'm asking this because the more letters, the more support it will show Square. With FF4 on the GBA and the announcement of Mario 3on3 for the DS (A Mario Basketball game made by Square), it seems like a great time to send them letters.

So please, please email me a letter for Square-Enix at smrpglegacy@comcast.net - every letter counts. Also, answer the poll on the navigation bar as well!
