News & Updates Merry Christmas (12/25/04) - [Super Mallow] - Super Mario RPG Legacy just wants to wish you a merry Christmas or whatever else you celebrate...even though they may have already passed. Enjoy it and all the gifts you get. MP3s (12/21/04) - [Super Mallow] - I think that I'm going to take all of them off - all the SMRPG, PM, and PM2 music and soundtracks will most likely disappear when the newer version rolls around. This is because bandwidth is always running out. Also, affiliates are getting mad at me since they are displaying my button but the site isn't on all the time to display theres. If the site doesn't go down for 5 straight days, I'll keep them up for sure. Otherwise, there is a good chance that within the next 2 weeks they will be removed. 1,000,000 Page Views (12/18/04) - [Super Mallow] - I checked my webstats today, for the first time in a while, and I noticed that we've crossed over the 1 million page views mark - at least, for this year. So that's some pretty good news. Also, my host has upgraded my bandwidth, meaning more time for downloading. But please, don't download every song at once or anything close to it - bandwidth is already over half used for this month. If bandwidth expires at the end of this month, the MP3's will only be offered to registered forum members in January. Balance it out throughout a few days....or something - just don't mass download. More Stuff (12/16/04) - [Super Mallow] - Been 10 days since the last update. Anyways, I started ripping PM2 music myself. Ones that I got through me, done all the editing, etc. I got about 20 more, but will not upload them yet. This is because Christmas break is tomorrow and I plan to get the newer version done. Also, bandwidth is through the roof - I'm going to try and get some more. The new version should be done within 2 weeks....hopefully. MP3's (12/6/04) - [Super Mallow] - I added 1 more Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door MP3 to the PM:TTYD MP3 page. (12/1/04) - [Super Mallow] - Yeah, right now there is HUGE demand for PM2 MP3's. Well, look no further, because I am now making them available to the public. Please, if you are going to download any, please keep it under 10 per day to save bandwidth www.smrpglegacy.com/v3-pm2music is where they can be reached. Please do not download them all at once. Update (11/28/04) - [Super Mallow] - Been a few days since the last update. Anyways, I might be able to launch the new red and black version by next weekend However, I need to try out something before I can do it. I need someone with a Mac computer. If you have one, please email me at smrpglegacy@comcas.net. Before I begin to redo the site, I need to talk to someone with a Mac first. PM2 MP3's (11/19/04) - [Super Mallow] - Well, I have uploaded them. I still have yet to link them on a page and what not though. If I have some major time over the weekend, I'll try and get around to the new version. I've gotten some pretty positive feedback about it, so it should be good. If the newer version goes up, I will be accepting more affiliates and links, though links will not get a button display like on here. I'm still working all the layout features on it as well. Good News (11/17/04) - [Super Mallow] - Well, Globat finally finished reinstalling my Frontpage extension, so I can now make new pages. I plan to work on the site this weekend. Also, I have gotten about....30 Paper Mario: TTYD MP3's. I plan to upload those soon. We need forum support! I'm considering only making the soundtracks/all screenshots available to active posters to save bandwidth and help the board. No decision has been made yet, but the forums are somewhat of a wreck right now. PLEASE JOIN!!!! And lastly, I got a preview of the newer version. New Version...Possible (11/14/04) - [Super Mallow] - I have created a beta version of the site...or at least, what it might look like. Problem is that since my server isn't the greatest, I can't make a new page.... I have one though. It isn't on the site yet but I have one. It's green with black. I thought it was pretty good. Well, I'm trying to get some more things done. I plan to get some TTYD info written - mainly a review and shine sprites. Those are some quickies I can get done in a day. Though, I need to be able to make a page first. Also, please, please join the forums. They are getting more active since the site is up again Were Back!!! (11/10/04) - [Super Mallow] - That we'd be. Well, Globat kind of...forgot to turn my site on when they did an upgrade, so it was, uh, inaccessible. However, this gave me a chance to complete PM:TTYD. I have the enemies, badges, etc for the game, I just need to type everything out. I'll be reviewing the game soon as well as trying to get info done. I'm starting to get somewhat interested in the Mario RPG's again. I may make a new version, but all affiliated would only be one 1 page because I can't do any coding that would help save days of time. SSI and PHP include are the 2 used, and I don't know either. I'll try to work on the site a little this weekend. PM2 Released! (10/11/04) - [Super Mallow] - Today is the scheduled release date of Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door. I'm picking up my copy today, and you should too. Hopefully I'll add something to the site for the game. HUGE NEWS!!! (9/20/04) - [Super Mallow] - For those who have been here since the beginning of the site, the emails are starting to work. I'm talking about SMRPG on the GBA. 2 years ago, former staff member SUPERgeno and I started sending the first emails to Nintendo for the remake. We got this campaign off the ground and got other people to send emails. Well, they might be working. I got a new email that said the petition now has impressive numbers, and Supah Shadow (member at the forums) said that Nintendo said that there is now increasing fan support. PLEASE, check the SMRPG for GBA page. I'm going to add fan emails and responses. I also made a new petition button. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Check the page for more info. And you can join the forums to discuss this and increase support.
- Just wanted to say that is is the 3 year anniversary of it. America still hasn't recovered completely from it and is still rebuilding. We just hope you remember it to and pay your respects to those who died on the tragic day. We've Gone Back! (9/9/04) - [Super Mallow] - We've moved back to the old Invisionfree forums. All members wanted to move back to it and it's there. Just click the forums link on the left. Also, I made my decision for right now - I will not close the site. In fact, I may make a newer version with SSI, I'm just not completely sure. Please join the forums as we are in a rebuilding stage. Ouch... (9/5/04) - [Super Mallow] - After a year, SMRPGL may be closing. This is not for sure and I'm still debating it. It turns out the site was never as popular as my stats said. We still did get around 400 a day though In turn, the forums never got popular as well. Since switching over, which most members wanted, we only have 2000 posts. The site's boring, and with SOTSS closed, there is no competition. This also means the Mario RPG games are dying, and I remain the only updated site about it left. SSH has died off too. Anyways, Qeomash of www.nintendomain.net has helped teach me SSI coding. What this means is that I can edit one nav bar and it will go through all the other pages. Everything will be easier. Also, if your reading this, the site's bandwidth for August is 99% done, so it'll probably be down for 3 days. Long Time... (8/16/04) - [Super Mallow] - A very, very long time since an update. Well, Globat, my host, did a server upgrade and the site was down all the time for a week or so. That's why I couldn't update. Anyways, I started making a new site, but will still work on this one. I'm trying to learn PHP - its a coding that will allow me to add links if I change it only on one page - it will add the link to all the pages. Some of our old members have re-registered, so join today Paper Mario 2 Name Change (7/27/04) - [Super Mallow] - Nintendo has changed Paper Mario 2's title. It is now Paper Mario 2: The Thousand-Year Door. This was announced yesterday, though I never got around to updating the site. Been Awhile (7/21/04) - [Super Mallow] - It's been a while since the last update. I've had nothing to update one. Anyways, there is a new contest just starting up in the forums. A new moderator, axem lord, has been promoted. Also, we are redoing clans with "clan wars" and other stuff. Clan wars is just an RPG type game. Also, the forums may be moving to Invision Power Board, though there is no news on it lately. I have about 20 emails in my inbox that I hope to respond to soon. Yesterday my Internet was cut off due to weather and the day before I was on a trip. I'll email everyone back soon. 1 Year Ago... (7/8/04) - [Super Mallow] - Today is the site's 1st birthday! One year ago the site was started. Head on over to the site's first birthday page for a recap. Finally, An Update (7/8/04) - [Super Mallow] - It's about time. Well, as some know, the site has been down due to bandwidth, So I couldn't work on it. Please check the forums out for the latest news, it's too big to type here. The topic is called 'Big Announcement' under the forum 'Announcements'. It deals with the site and such, so please read it. Lastly, please try not to use up as much bandwidth. I may start making everything more...exclusive. Read the announcement in the forums to see what I mean. SMRPG for GBA (6/25/04) - [Super Mallow] - Another late update. Anyways, I had some serious Internet hijacking problems along with spy ware and viruses. And my site editor uninstalled so I couldn't edit the site. Well, I haven't fixed it yet but I was able to update today on my other computer. I added some more info to the SMRPG for GBA page. Also, the June has been the site's best month. We currently are getting 530+ unique visits a day. We reached our all time high - 763 (couple days ago) If you emailed me with affiliation and I accepted you as a link, you MUST EMAIL ME AGAIN. Some of my emails got deleted and I haven't been able to add you yet PM2 (6/15/04) - [Super Mallow] - I think I got the right date....Anyways, I found out what Paper Mario 2's release date will be. October 11, 2004. For America at least. I haven't seen this on other sites yet, but i know for sure. So if you do use it, source this and link it. Also, Version 3 is going good, though I'm redoing a ton of pages and adding a bunch more. That's why, again, it's not up. Turn Left! (6/5/04) - [Super Mallow] - Interesting title. Anyways, I haven't updated in a while. I was so close to getting the new version done. I added a bunch of stuff, such as fan art, fan comics, fan games, a secret page, and quizzes. Anyways, I can't finish it. I got in trouble because I turned left while driving though I was told to. Hence the title. Anyways, it's ridiculous but the site itself is in jeopardy at the moment Anyways, I have exams on Monday and Tuesday, then I'm done with school. Expect V3B to be up soon. Affiliates, I know I haven't added you yet but you are there on the new version. Also, the site's birthday is in a month and a few days. I'm preparing something huge for it. So check out the site on July 8th-July 10th for the site's birthday. I'm not telling what will be happening at the moment, but it's going to take a while to do =] Lastly, the forums are getting more posts everyday. The elite lounge was removed, but awards and contests have stayed. We are almost done with the first contest and will be heading for a new one soon, which everyone can join. I Know, I Know (5/21/04) - [Super Mallow] - Yes, I know. I've promised a new version. And I really want to put it up. Here's the deal though. I need to get some work done for my job. I'm sorry everyone but it is more important than this at the moment. I'm really trying. I really want it up. I just am way too busy. There is 3 weeks of school left and there will be exams. Plus my job...it's just a little too much right now. ... (5/17/04) - [Super Mallow] - I know, I know, I promised a new version. I was half way done too, but I got sick with Bronchitis and missed 3 days of school. I had quite a bit of work to make up, so it delayed it again. Ok, now for the GREAT NEWS. I did get Paper Mario 2 coverage. It will be up soon...I hope. Better news. The Forums are great. We have a bunch new features. An RPG hack is one. However, it is really bad. If anyone knows of a better one, please tell me. We also now have an "Elite Lounge" for the older, more constant posting members. As well as an "Awards" forum. Think your a winner? Well, members vote on who should win what award in each category. Here is the best news. I may get an arcade hack with great games, like a Sonic Advanced type game with full levels and stuff. Good News (5/10/04) - [Super Mallow] - Well, I finally got some good news. I probably will be getting E3 coverage on Paper Mario 2 this week. I hope at least. I work for N-cubed, and a couple people there are going to E3. Also, the new version should be up by next weekend. Finally. I have recoded it - I just need to make some images. And the best news is the Forums. I'm starting to have contests for the members, with prizes. The prizes may be like permission to start a clan - something like that. Also, I'm looking for someone who can make a hack for a RPG type thing, as well as someone who could skin the forums. If you can help, private message me on the forums. Ack! (5/7/04) - [Super Mallow] - Finally, an update. I'm sorry I haven't had any lately. Well, I got a job making images for a professional website, and I've been busy learning Photoshop. Plus, there really were a bunch of errors in the coding of the new version. To all affiliates, you will be up soon if not up yet. I'm sorry for the wait, I just have had other things to do. The Forums have gotten a bunch new members recently. We've gotten a bunch more posts and members. Also, JonnyJinx of the Forums was promoted to be a moderator. Well, I hope to get the new version up this weekend...for my job I'm going to have to make about 150 banners in a month, so I may not have the time. I AM NOT GIVING UP ON THE SITE, so don't worry. Clans!!!! (4/26/04) - [Super Mallow] - Great news! We have done something really cool to the Forums! We have made clans. Clans are certain forums that only certain members of that clan can get into. Of course, each has a clan leader. They have been set up, and a lot pf people like this idea. I recommend joining. Also, you can talk about Paper Mario 2 in the Forums - a new forum for it has been added. And lastly, the new version...I found some serious coding problems so again, it is delayed. Paper Mario Secrets (4/19/04) - [Super Mallow] - I got some very good news. After reaching our low in the last 10 days of unique visits (487), we are now getting 580+. So we've picked that up a little. Also, I'm now working for a little site called "Sunken Ship". Check that out at www.freewebs.com/teamkoopa. Obviously, it's not like this. We can only have 7 pages, and are planning to move to a new host. I got hired 'cause I decided to help out "Nintendo Freak" on our forums. For the bad news...Well, new version delayed again. I'm still waiting for some images. Hopefully I'll get them soon. Until then it isn't going anywhere. Sorry for that - and affiliates are going to have to wait a little longer. And for my last bit of news. This may be a shocker to some...I plan to actually work on Paper Mario *Shivers*. I'll get some of that stuff done soon I hope. Paper Mario Secrets (4/17/04) - [Super Mallow] - I, myself, just found out a never before reported secret for Paper Mario. At least, I haven't seen it. It's on the Paper Mario Secrets page. The newly found secret is the first secret listed, titled "A 'Special' First Strike" Stats/New Version (4/15/04) - [Super Mallow] - Just wanted to know our stats have gone considerably up. Over the past 6 days, we've been averaging over 560 unique visits...3 days we almost reach 700 unique visits. Now is the time to start affiliation as I work on the new version at www.smrpglegacy.com/version3beta About the new version...I'm waiting for some graphics so I can't upload it. I'm hoping by this weekend. Sorry for the delay. Easter (4/12/04) - [Super Mallow] - I just quickly wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter. Also, I'm uploading the new version tonight. And on the last note, 3 days ago we reached our all time high...699 unique visitors. The next day we followed it up with 615 unique visits. New Version!!! (4/8/04) - [Super Mallow] - The new version is coming very soon; most likely this weekend. I may work on it tonight, so here's the deal. Chances are I will use the same URL's, so some pages may already be part of the new version. That's about it. Also, my new affiliates will have to wait a day or so to be up, as you will all be added on the new version. Paper Mario 2 Screens (4/4/04) - [Super Mallow] - I got some screenshots of the upcoming game. This will be a little long for this update. You can click them for a bigger picture.
Paper Mario 2 Confirmed (4/2/04) - [Super Mallow] - Paper Mario 2 is confirmed!! I emailed Nintendo just to make sure, and they replied back that it was. It is scheduled to be released at the end of this year, and will be released on Gamecube. I'll try to post some screenshots later on. Intelligent Systems will be making the game. They made Paper Mario. Hopefully I can get some more info, and If I do, it will be posted here or in the forums. Paper Mario 2 (4/1/04) - [Super Mallow] - It's April 1, and this is not an April Fool's joke. There is a huge rumor on this, that a sequel is coming out for the Gamecube. Well, I have looked into it. 5 different sites reported 5 different things, and people have emailed me a bunch on it. Just to let you know, they all started to report it yesterday and today...chances are it is a fake. I have emailed Nintendo, and I'm hoping for a reply soon. Confirmed or not, I'll tell more later once I get the reply. Don't get your hopes up too soon, but it may happen. It is completely unconfirmed yet. Besides, Nintendo's homepage doesn't even have it, nor does Nintendo of Japan's homepage has it. We'll see soon enough. And on the last update, I said i was working on something secret. It's a new version. You can check it out at www.smrpglegacy.com/version3beta. Give me some feedback on it please. Whoops... (3/25/04) - [Super Mallow] - I'm terribly sorry I haven't updated. Things came up. I had tennis tryouts, and AOL screwed up my computer to the point I could not navigate the internet without it freezing. I'm still working the kinks out of it. I redid the other 2 reviews, except I'm not going to put them up yet. Put it this way...I'm doing something secret right now. You're going to wait and find out what it is...I hope it will be complete by this weekend... SMRPG Review (3/11/04) - [Super Mallow] - Well, I got hired at N-Cubed as a reviewer. So I made a new Super Mario RPG Review and put it up (on my site that is). It is a lot better than the first. Hopefully I'll get the other 2 games' reviews re-done too. Also, the Forums have been getting a bunch of posts. Something got messed up and our total board posts went down somehow....at least I think. We have more than 5,000 posts with that in mind. They are active, but we need more members...we don't have many constant posters, so please join them by registering. Almost forgot - Mariotendo skinned the Forums even more, and it looks really good. Forums/Tops Site (2/24/04) - [Super Mallow] - Good news. The Forums have gotten a new skin!!! They look a lot better now. Anyways, it was made by Mariotendo, who has also been promoted to moderator status. And yet again, I'm asking to vote for this site in the top sites campaign. More good news. If you've been here before, you know my program can't upload. Well, it still can't, but I found a way to mass import files. I have more music, so count on that soon. Huge Update (2/22/04) - [Super Mallow] - I entered in all of my current Mario & Luigi info. I added these: Mario & Luigi Items, Mario & Luigi Badges, Mario & Luigi Enemies, Mario & Luigi Bosses, Mario & Luigi Armor, Mario & Luigi Important Items, Mario & Luigi Cafe Items, and Mario & Luigi Cafe Blends. Also, I added a SMRPG for GBA page with the petition and some other info. Lastly, N-advanced has been dropped as an affiliate, and Goombaboot in now an affiliate. A new link, Shady Gaming, has also been added. The Forums have been quite active, so check them out too. I also put all the January Updates into the older updates page. Tonight, I'm adding all of the Mario & Luigi info I have. I'm doing it around 11:00 pm eastern time. Updating...Finally (2/17/04) - [Super Mallow] - Finally, an update! Been to busy playing Final Fantasy X and Fire Emblem. Lets see...all I need is the Mario & Luigi walkthrough. Then, depending on how long it takes, will add all the pages. Although, I might do it on Friday or Saturday. What else??? The Forums have been quite a buzz recently. There is a new mod, Boombot99. I plan to make a new skin for the forums too, or have someone help me with that. 1 more thing. I got de-staffed at a couple of websites (I'm not saying any sites name, 'cause I got de-staffed at 3!). So I took those links of on the Staff page under my web things. And no, you can't become a staff. Right now, there is truly no need. I'm saying this because lately I have gotten a bunch of offers from many people. If there is a need, I will update it here. 1 last thing.
